We say a sad farewell to our longtime friend and Hunterdon Symphony cellist,
Orville Williamson October 31,1933-May 18,2022 Orville, pictured below with Styra Avins Eisinger, Maryellen Costello, and Nancy Roth at the December 2019 concert, a 40-year anniversary celebration of the String Festival concert that immediately preceded the forming of Hunterdon Symphony, was a founding member of the orchestra. Orville and his wife, Eileen, who passed away in 2018, were a constant presence at rehearsals, and have inspired dozens of notes from Symphony Members recalling how supportive they both were, how nice they were to talk with during the rehearsal breaks, and how very much they will be missed. |
